NYU Steinhardt? Vocal Performance? Is it really hard to get into?
I just finished my junior year of high school, and I honestly didn't do so great. My overall gpa for the entire year was an 84.2, not the best. My overall gpa for my 3 years of high school is a 86.4, still not the best but it's not horrible. I've been to 3 different high schools but I'm not a delinquent or anything, I just had some adjusting issues, which contributed to my grades not being the best. Anyway, I'm a singer/actress and I'm dying to major in vocal performance, it's my goal. I want to be the best that I can be and really use my vocal abilities to create a successful career for myself. I really want to go to NYU Steinhardt for vocal performance but I'm not sure if I can get in. Originally, I wanted to go to Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh but my grades are nowhere near what they should be to receive admission to that school. I was basically wondering if there's any hope of me getting into this school if I keep my grades very high in senior year. If not, does anyone know of any alternative schools that offer a major in vocal performance that I could be eligible to get into? Thanks so much! 10 points for best answer!!!
