I have fallen for this guy. We have been completely honest with each other. He won't hang out with me because he doesn't want to be disloyal to my father. If it was just the two of us then everything would be fine. There is an 17 year age gap. He has recently told me that he will not come further into my life because he would feel that he was constantly doing something wrong. And that he felt inappropriate. I should be mad and resentful towards him at a time such as this. But I started falling in love with him, and he continues to talk to me. Making my feelings feel validated each day. When he told me that he wasn't going to be able to see me, it was like my heart was put in a blender and left on ice crush. I just don't get it. I have never had somebody hurt me so bad and still continue to be nice to them, and still want them to come into my life, where we can be free with each other. Perhaps I am a fool. I talked to all of my friends and family, and nobody thought it was a big deal. I am 23 and have a right to my own privacy. And if we make each other happy, why can't we be together? Right now, we both have a perpetual heart ache because we are not in each others arms, and have lost each other. I cannot live like this, and I just want him to come into my life where I can cherish him.

Is NYU a good school meaning safe, good professers, and what is the ethnic make up?

NYU is great and fosters a sense of community despite being a very large, public, non-communal sector of the city. The workload is challenging, but not too challenging in my experience (though, of course I've had my fair share of tough classes, my experiences have only exceeded my breakpointing when I was taking about 20 credits, which is certainly not recommended. I'm just a little crazy.) The class sizes are reasonable, including lectures (my science lecture is only comprised of about 20-25 students), and the teachers all know your name and encourage you to participate in class. although NYU does ask for fundamental financial situation and provides somewhat less financial aid than some other colleges. plus people are not so co operative and professors are less reliable.

NYU Steinhardt? Vocal Performance? Is it really hard to get into?

I just finished my junior year of high school, and I honestly didn't do so great. My overall gpa for the entire year was an 84.2, not the best. My overall gpa for my 3 years of high school is a 86.4, still not the best but it's not horrible. I've been to 3 different high schools but I'm not a delinquent or anything, I just had some adjusting issues, which contributed to my grades not being the best. Anyway, I'm a singer/actress and I'm dying to major in vocal performance, it's my goal. I want to be the best that I can be and really use my vocal abilities to create a successful career for myself. I really want to go to NYU Steinhardt for vocal performance but I'm not sure if I can get in. Severe Cat Aggression?

Sounds like Yogi is stressed. He has a kitty version of PT-SD. Unfortunately sometimes the only solution to this kind of aggression is separation and it sounds like Winnie's owners are unwilling. Most likely it's a case of too many animals in one place. Cat's don't adjust as well as some animals to new surroundings, and especially new cats. My ferret keeps hissing at me!?

I adopted her from a family who couldn't keep her. We re-named her, (Tahlulah) gave her a bigger cage, adopted another ferret for her, give her food/water/treats/toys, but she keeps hissing at me! Just now i put her in her cage and sheWOULDN'T stop hissing! The first few weeks we had her she was mellow, would just sit in our arms, was cute and clumsy, now she wont stay still, SPAZZES OUT ALL THE TIME, AND HISSES AT ME AND OUR OTHER FERRET! I think your chances are slim with a GED and only one semester of college-level work. NYU will want to see proof that you're capable of more than one semester of achievement. So aim for Tisch, but do some research between now and then and identify some other schools that you'd be willing to consider. My teacher told us the curve doesn't help you at all, but hurt you. He said that if, for example, you got an 88 in bio you will get a 78 on it. My friend took it last year and her raw score was a 98 and then the curve kicked in and turned it into a 94. Chemistry has a different curve than any other regents. But you must not worry, colleges don't really look at regents scores. Your SAT and extracurricular activities counts the most than a test that is distributed in only certain states. Sounds like Yogi is stressed. He has a kitty version of PT-SD. Unfortunately sometimes the only solution to this kind of aggression is separation and it sounds like Winnie's owners are unwilling. heres the deal. I am a straight A student in a public school in new york and is one of the top schools on in the state. In this school a regular class is an honors class in another school lets say anywhere. I plan to take a biology class in two months over the summer to get ahead to chem in 10th grade. Does this goal sound realistic?

I'm going to be a sophomore in high school next year, and I'm switching schools from a different state. At my old school I had a 3.66 Cumulative GPA, which would have been about 3.8 if it weren't for Q2 because I got a C, but I can't change that now. I was in 1 AP class (All my school had first year), and I registered for 3 next year. I wasn't in any sports, but I was on the Knowledge Bowl team, which got 2nd place in the Regional Tournament. I'm guessing since I won't have a lot of friends at my new school, I will be able to focus on school a lot more. If I keep my scores high, join multiple clubs, and get jobs/internships, I plan to apply to the following schools for business: Rutgers, UPenn (I realize this will probably not happen, but you never know), NYU, and Stockton. For UPenn and NYU, I don't know if I will be able to make their business programs, but I could always take the normal business classes, then transfer to Wharton/Stern right? Also, if I go to Ocean County College, will I be able to transfer to these schools? If all my plans go correct, I think I may be able to land a job in investment banking in Manhattan. I know that NYU and UPenn are target schools, and they both give me a good chance at Wall Street, but will I even be able to make it? I know this is a loaded question but please help me guys.

Vectra 2.2 diesel estate?

My partner bought a second-hand Vectra yesterday, he is no fool and checked everything on it worked and also took if for a test drive and it was fine. We drove for 140 miles yesterday around London and stopped at Bluewater for a couple of hours and all seemed fine until this morning when it wouldn't start. The battery is currently on charge as it was the only thing we could think that it was. My partner is a typical male and pressed lots of buttons on the dash, could he have possibly put the immobiliser on inadvertantly? I would have thought that the central locking would have over-ridden that though. Anyone have any ideas on what it could be? We have lights, radio etc and the engine just won't seem to turn over. i know ivy league would obviously be better but i don't have alot of money at all. idealy i'd like to go to nyu but unless i get a ton of scholarships & so on it's not gonna happen. i have a 95 average & am taking honors chem, honors trig,& ap english my junior year. i'm planning on taking ap bio, physics honors, and calculus senior year. i will be working atleast 2 hours a week next year in a nursing home, along with a program for children with disabilities every saturday for a few hours in the fall and spring seasons. Should I fight a NYC Fare Evasion Ticket?

My friend and I entered the 8th Street-NYU subway station. There was no metrocard machine, and my friend was short on his fare. In an effort to avoid missing an approaching train we entered the turnstile together, using a swipe from my unlimited card (which I purchased two days prior to this event). Two officers saw us, and ticketed us both for fare evasion. Technically only one fare, my friend's, was evaded. Do I have a case, or does aiding in evasion carry the same fine? I can't find anything in the rules and regulations section on the MTA website.

I'm in high school right now and I am trying to find good colleges to apply to. I am thinking that i am going to major in business but i might have a minor in design (graphic or advertisement)....I was thinking about NYU, but are the classes there big? Hey there! Well you wont find any programs for $700 because remember for one month, that has to incorporate your housing, food, the salary of the people who are looking after you as well as coordinating your entire volunteer experience. I interned abroad with Leave UR Mark and it's around $1400 for one month and then $800 for each additional month. I thought it was very affordable because I saw companies that charge in British pounds and are closer to the 2,000 mark. Plus it ends up being worth it because you get to live in a house with other interns and volunteers and you create a really good bond with them as well as the children that you teach. Not trying to be selfish but it was also really good for the resume...I'm from New York and NYU is highly competitive. Doing an internship abroad definitely makes you stand out. My dream college is Ucla or NYU or maybe even UM.. My grades as followed all a's and one B in algebra... I am in the 7th grade taking algebra and next year honors geometry.... I'm going to be a senior soon, and was wondering if I meet the average standards for each place. So far, I have my Advanced Regents Diploma (Not sure if it matters for colleges out of New York). My SAT scores are a 2040, with an essay score of 10. I have yet to take the ACT, and my GPA is a 3.3. With a full Honors class load (No AP classes offered at my school, population for all K-12 is only 800 kids). I believe my class rank is in the top ten of the seventy people in my grade. Chance me Transfer to NYU?

I have a 2.66GPA at a state flagship university and I am part of the newspaper and the debate team. I also work at a catering company and at the dining hall at my current college. I would like to transfer to NYU as a Junior. The reason my GPA is so low is because during my Freshman year I was only able to complete one semester and had serious family problems (my dad cheated on my mom and we left the house. I had to live with my aunt in her basement for three months while he got to stay in the house. He also didnt pay my college bill like he said he would and I was unable to afford it because he screwed up my parent's credit and I was unable to get loans.) The stress that was put on me at that time did a serious toll on me emotionally and I got a D+ in a class. If I explained my situation to NYU and got significantly high grades my Sophomore year to increase my GPA to about a 3.4, would I have a chance to transfer there? Thanks.

Weight limit on old Winnie the Pooh Graco swing?

It's green plaid 15 songs, 6 speed. Quite a few years old. I can't find ANYTHING on it anywhere online. Not even on the Graco site. It has a 5-ish strap harness?
